Mark your calendars to join us on September 7th 2024 from 5 PM to 9 PM for first ever Oakland Chinatown Night Market! For one night only, 2 blocks on 8th street will be laced with a new generation of tastemakers with street eats, cultural products, live music, and more! RSVP for the event here! Dumpling Olympics


Come join us for an exciting dumpling tasting event in Chinatown! Sample a variety of delicious dumplings from around the world and cast your vote for the best one. With so many unique flavors and styles to choose from, which dumpling will win your taste buds and come out on top? Don't miss out on this flavorful competition—your vote could help decide the ultimate dumpling champion!

Join us for an unforgettable evening of entertainment, featuring live performances by the incredibly talented Asian-American  Seijia Oda and Dtrue. Start the night with sets from some of the Bay Area's smoothest DJs, Adrian and JAZZ.FM. Boogie on!


Outdoor Bar and Taiwanese Street Eats

at Lounge Chinatown


Satisfy your cravings with a saucy selection of classic Taiwanese street foods and dragon-inspired cocktails by Lounge Chinatown. Indulge in savory skewers, popcorn chicken, stinky tofu, and more. Beer from Alameda Brewing Company, an Asian, local, family-owned brewery.


Oakland Asia Cup


To kick off the evening, join us at Lincoln Square Park from 4 PM to 7 PM for a thrilling basketball tournament featuring four teams representing the unique cultural diversity of Oakland. In the spirit of the recent 2024 Summer Olympics, come and cheer on your favorite team as they compete for the championship!


Art Gallery


ABG Art Group will be be curating a one-of-a-kind art activation at 401 8th St., showcasing the works of some of the top local artists. This event promises to highlight the diverse and vibrant talent within our community. Stay tuned for more information on the featured artists and the unique pieces they will be presenting.



Community Beautification Pilot Program


As part of the Night Market festivities, OCIC is excited to launch its community beautification pilot program, giving Oakland Chinatown a vibrant new look! A fresh coat of paint and the addition of red lanterns will enhance Chinatown's visual identity, welcoming visitors from across Oakland and the greater Bay Area.

Plan Your Visit

For your convenience, there is an underground lot below the Pacific Renaissance Plaza (388 9th St, Oakland, CA 94607) with 24 hour security. Parking is $4/hour.

The closest BART station is 12th Street Station at Broadway in Oakland. Walk south on Broadway to 8th Street and turn left. From the Lake Merritt BART Station. Exit at the 8th Street exit and walk west on 8th Street for 5 blocks.

a. COI: 2 Certificates of Insurance to additionally insure City of Oakland and OCIC

b. Mobile food temp/day permit

c. ABC business certificate

d. Business tax certificate

e. Sellers permits

f. Vending fee
